Abandoned Boats

We are making a major effort to clean up Millbrook Lake. As part of this effort we are identifying and removing abandoned vessels left in the lake. Remember, it is the license holders responsibility to remove a vessel and all its ground tackle/mooring/pontoons when relinquishing the license. If you sell a boat, the mooring is not automatically transferred to the new owner. You are responsible for all cleanup until the MLMA has accepted the new licensee. If the new owner is not eligible (out of area) then they will not be able to take over the mooring and you will remain responsible.

Everyone has an interest in keeping the lake clean and free for all to use so please help us with this by reporting any suspected dumped vessels and ensuring your vessel details are up to date.

We will publish a list of abandoned vessels on this website and these vessels may be removed/scrapped/sold inaccordance with MLMA policy at the expense of the mooring holder/owner.

Thank you.
